What is this training about?
Baby and Young Children Resuscitation
Learn what to do if a baby or young child is choking or stops breathing. This hands-on workshop will help you recognise emergencies and respond with confidence in a situation where every second counts.
You will learn how to differentiate gagging from choking, respond to choking, and perform basic CPR for babies and young children. This workshop will cover age-appropriate techniques, including back blows and chest thrusts for infants, and back blows and abdominal thrusts for children over one year.
With clear guidance, hands-on-practice and time for questions, you’ll leave better prepared to act in an emergency.
No previous experience is required.
First Aid for Most Common Children Injuries
This is an interactive first aid workshop in English that will provide you with knowledge and skills to respond calmly and provide immediate care for the most common childhood injuries.
You’ll learn how to:
recognise Febrile seizures,
respond to cuts, grazes, and burns,
manage nosebleeds, sprains, and suspected broken bones,
recognise warning signs that require urgent attention,
know when and how to contact emergency services or seek further medical advice.
After the workshop, you will be better prepared to care for a child after an injury.
No previous experience is needed.
Who is this for?
These workshops are designed for English-speaking expectant parents and parents of children up to the age of 10 years. Grandparents, babysitters, and other people for whom these skills are relevant are welcome to join too.
Certificate from Kind & Gezin available upon request.
